Sunday
Morning
Greeters

Help create a warm and inviting environment for members and guests as they enter the building. In addition, as a greeter you will help set the tone for people to hear and respond to the Word of God. Greeter responsibilities may include:

  1. Opening the building doors and assisting those entering the building with any needs they might have.

  2. Passing out Worship Guides, helping guests find rooms, and walking guests to the nearest Welcome Desk.

Our greeters know how to smile, take initiative in greeting, and are always friendly to both members AND guests.

Welcome
Center
Desk
Greeters

Help greet first-time guests and register their children, hand out Welcome Packets, and as needed, walk guests to various ministry areas (Student Ministry, KidsLife, Preschool, LIFE Group, etc.). As a Welcome Center Desk Greeter, you will be equipped to answer questions about our church and/or know where to direct someone for information if you do not know the answer. Our Welcome Center Desk Greeters enjoy helping and serving others.

Section
Greeters

As a section greeter, you will serve inside the Worship Center before the 9:40AM and 11:00AM service. At the end of the previous service, you will greet members and guests as they arrive and sit in your assigned section. Our section greeters are friendly and know how to start and continue a conversation. They make all members and guests feel welcomed but focus on finding those who are first-time guests to First Baptist.

Head Usher

As head usher, you will count the number of people during the Worship Service. Also, you will open (or close) the Worship Center doors after the service begins (and before the service ends). In addition, you may be called upon to help secure the offering and/or assist with security needs, as required.

Coffee
Ministry
Team

As a member of the Coffee Ministry Team, you will make coffee roughly once a month on Sunday mornings for the Adult Education building coffee stations. This person works behind the scenes and provides what we call “the ministry of caffeine” for LIFE Group members and church goers! As a member of the six to eight-person Coffee Ministry Team, you will serve on a rotating basis, with one person making coffee prior to the start of the 8:30AM hour on Sunday mornings, and then emptying and rinsing the coffee urns any time after the end of the 11AM hour.

Parking
Lot
Team

This ministry opportunity is under construction! Here is our vision for the Parking Lot Team: The members of our Parking Lot Team will greet our guests and members in the church parking lots as they arrive on Sunday mornings. These men and women will welcome and guide first-time guests to VIP parking spaces, direct the flow of traffic on the campus, and provide a great parking experience for everyone.

Special Events Greeters

Our special events are a time when we want to let Jesus shine! We want everyone that enters our campus to feel welcomed, so we go the extra mile in serving guests and members. At special events, greet attendees at the doors (both exterior and interior), pass out programs, help guests with directions in the building, and assist them to find seats.
