Vision
The Student Ministry Associate works as the ministry partner and ministerial support for the Student Pastor who is responsible for overseeing, shepherding and leading the student ministry (6th-12th grade), including a partnership with families that recognizes their key role in discipleship. Following the leadership of the Student Pastor, they will also work with the Student Ministry Staff to implement and collaborate on the vision, direction, and opportunities for leading students to reach and equip the next generation.

Qualifications & Expectations
A fully-devoted follower of Christ, both in belief and practice
Committed to the mission, vision and doctrinal beliefs of FBCO
Teachable attitude and spirit
Self-starter and able to work independently
Desire to pursue full-time vocational ministry
Undergraduate or pursuit of education is preferred
General Responsibilities
Attend and participate in Sunday worship gathering at FBCO
Meet regularly with Student Pastor
Use Google Drive to maintain and keep up-to-date records, documents and information for the Student Ministry team
Attend and participate in weekly team meetings
Creative & Communication
Ability or willingness to learn video production/editing skills
Coordinates with LIFE Group leaders
Follow up with students after Sunday
Student LIFE Groups
Assist in recruiting, training and maintaining volunteers
Provide ministry support, as needed, for three hours on Sunday mornings.
Leads a weekly Student LIFE Group
Youth Night
Responsible for planning, organizing and executing JHM
Teaches on weekly basis to JHM in conjunction and under the direction of the Student Pastor
Recruit volunteers and communicate roles and expectations
Ensure area is set up, torn down and clean for weekly activities
Special Event Coordination
Actively attend, support and coordinate different Student Ministry events throughout the year. These events may require adjusted office hours.
Special events may include but are not limited to: Back to School events, Fall Retreat, Student Worship theme nights, DiscipleNow Weekend, summer camps, summer mission trip, and additional events as planned.
Areas of responsibility for special events may include, but are not limited to:
Event promotion (social media, emails, etc)
Supplies (ordering, shopping, organization)
Recruiting (leaders, host homes, etc)
Communication (emails, meetings, registrant correspondence, etc)
Other duties as assigned by the Student Pastor

Part-time: 29 hrs/week
