Adult LIFE Groups meet at 8:30, 9:40, and 11AM each Sunday. Stop at Connection Point in the Atrium (near the Bookstore) any Sunday and we will help you find a class.

Here are 5 reasons why you should join a LIFE Group:

• Go deeper in your faith and the Word of God.
  Participating in a LIFE Group can help you put down deep roots into the Word of God through thoughtful teaching and discussion.


• Connect with others.
  It’s tough to meet and connect with others in our Worship Services. Joining a LIFE Group is an awesome way to form a community within a larger church and connect on a deeper level.


• Encourage others and bear one another's burdens.
  LIFE Groups are the perfect environment to share prayer requests and encourage one another. Caring for one another in community is being obedient to Galatians 6:2, which says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”


• Personalize the Christian faith.
  God’s Word was meant to penetrate deeply to both your mind and your heart. LIFE Groups are great for talking through important truths and applying them to your life.


• Jesus had a small group.
  Although his disciples had a different relationship to their ‘small group leader’ (after all, He is God Himself!), Jesus met regularly with the disciples and others to encourage and teach them. The life of Christ shows the importance of community in a believer’s life.

Most LIFE Groups use one of the following quarterly studies. Stop at Connection Point for information about a specific class.

• MASTERWORKS - Challenging, Christ-centered material with a modern perspective from respected Christian leaders


• BIBLE STUDIES FOR LIFE - Compelling, biblical studies that are focused on real life issues


• THE GOSPEL PROJECT - Christ-centered, chronological Bible studies for kids, students, and adults

Instead of childcare, we have LIFE Groups at 8:30, 9:40 & 11AM for infants to grade 5. LIFE Groups for students in grades 6 - 12 are offered at 9:40 & 11AM. Preschoolers can stay in their classroom for 2 services in a row, giving you a chance to attend a Worship Service and a LIFE Group of your own. Older children are encouraged to attend one Worship Service with you and one LIFE Group session.

Just show up! For help finding a class, stop by Connection Point in the Atrium any Sunday morning.

You will be warmly invited by your selected group and you'll know within two or three meetings if it is the right group for you. If it's not quite right, don't worry, and don't give up! There are many groups (over 50!) to choose from at First Baptist O'Fallon and one is sure to be a good fit.
