Adult Ministries Administrative Assistant

Purpose

  • To provide administrative support to the Adult Ministry pastors

Reports to

  • Pastor of Adult Ministries

General Office Responsibilities

  • Provide overall administrative support to the Pastors in the Adult Ministry office.

  • Maintain general office supplies.

  • Coordinate adult ministries calendar (add one-time events, work with all ministry areas to deconflict room usage, produce calendars for staff planning).

  • Assist with other events as needed (promote/enlist volunteers/set up, etc.).

  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings.

  • Provide support in covering the Front Desk as needed.

Adult LIFE Groups

  • Maintain LIFE Group folders and track weekly attendance.

  • Create and manage LIFE Group listing on church management software.

  • Provide ministry support, as needed, for three hours on Sunday mornings.

  • Assist with quarterly teacher trainings and appreciations throughout the year.

Adult Ministries

  • Create and manage listing of Adult Discipleship groups and seasonal Women’s Bible Studies on church management software.

  • Assist with special events (Registrations, Volunteer Coordination, Supplies, etc.).

  • Order curriculum for adult LIFE groups and other bible studies as needed.

  • Track budget items in conjunction with the Pastor of Adult Ministries.

  • Assist with communication to LIFE Group Leaders and other adult volunteers.

Assimilation & First Impressions

  • Assist with enlisting greeters for Sunday mornings and special events.

  • Process guest information and assist in follow-up process.

  • Assemble visitor gift bags for Connection Point on Sundays.

  • Coordinate volunteers for Coffee Ministry.

  • Order supplies for Missions Café and Coffee Ministry.

General Expectations

  • Willingness to support the overall mission and vision of the church and Adult Ministries.

  • Thinks proactively about ministry activities and responsibilities.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Pastor of Adult Ministries or church needs.

Work Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday — 8:30am - 4:30pm

  • Sunday — 7:30am - 12pm & 3:00 - 6:30pm

    *Hours may flex as needed for special events.
